Hillsong

God has blessed Holly and I with many wonderful friends and family...
We lost contact with a good college friend, Lance Davis! A couple years ago we were shopping in Medford and just happened upon him (GOD MOMENT!)... He's living in Australia, attending Hillsong college, and being spoiled by their incredible church... Hillsong is mostly known for their AMAZING worship music: truth is, they pretty much set the standard...Darlene Zschech of Hillsong Australia wrote Shout to the Lord... SO, Lance came to the states last month and spent one of his weekends with us... He revolutionized our drummer (my nephew Dominic) in one weekend of lessons... And he gave Holly and I Hillsong's newest CD/DVD release: THIS IS OUR GOD... OH MY, THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR THIS NEW MUSIC, SO ANOINTED... SO, I'm on this Hillsong kick: sitting at the piano learning every Hillsong Song I can get my hands on...
There was a time in my life I truly struggled with choosing Music or Preaching... A leader I trully respected said that you must choose one over the other, you can't do both... BUT after much soul searching I decided to listen to what the LORD put in my heart and that is song AND the word... Yes, I'm probably over-extended BUT the truth is I will burn out NOT doing what's in my heart...SO, I'll stay at the piano and the pulpit!

This is the song I can't get out of my head...MAGNIFICENT: (Blessed)
Who compares to You
Who set the stars in their place
You who calmed the raging seas
That came crashing over me
Who compares to You
You who bring the morning light
The hope of all the earth
Is rest assured in Your great love
YOU ARE MAGNIFICENT, ETERNALLY
WONDERFUL, GLORIOUS
J--E--S--U--S
NO ONE EVER WILL COMPARE TO YOU
Where the evening fades
You call forth songs of joy
As the morning wakes
We Your children give You praise
OH and I can't get this one out of my head either...DESERT SONG: (This Is Our God)
This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides
This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me LORD through the flame
AND I WILL BRING PRAISE, I WILL BRING PRAISE
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL REMAIN
I WILL REJOICE, I WILL DECLARE
GOD IS MY VICTORY AND HE IS HERE
This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand
ALL MY LIFE, IN EVERY SEASON
YOU ARE STILL GOD
I HAVE A REASON TO SING
I HAVE A REASON TO WORSHIP
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow
