We started PROJECT FOOD BANK: I LOVE CHRISTMAS DECORATING!
Just take an ornament off the tree and bring a non-perishable item and place it under the tree before Dec. 21st...hoping to fill up the food bank cupboards for the needy...

Listen to proverbs 13:20 in the good news translation…Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined….

Life is a whole lot less messy when you live the biblical standard!
What did Jesus Do? want to remind you…WWJD works
How did he begin his ministry?
Let’s look at LUKE 6:12-16
We’re gonna get some exercise this morning…
We’re gonna talk about what we need to RUN AWAY FROM…
and what we need to RUN TOWARD...
I have some good news this morning…
It may free somebody from some false guilt…
God doesn’t expect you to be friends with everyone!
In fact, there are some people that we are warned NOT to be too close too!
Why? because thay can have a toxic effect on our own spiritual life…
This doesn’t mean we can ignore or shun people…
We are to love, reach out, help, care for all those whom God places in our path…
It’s all about Loving God and Loving people…
But when it comes to friendship, true companionship, we should be CHOOSY...
Proverbs 22:24,25…Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared…
There it is…
We learn the ways of those we spend time around!
Who do you want to be like?
What character traits do you want to build?
This is another reason I am so BLESSED to have the SHORTS on my staff!

Proverbs 29:22…An angry man stirs up dissension and a hot-tempered one commits many sins…
Proverbs 29:11…A fool give full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control…
turn to Proverbs 6:16-19…
Does that list get your attention!? It should…
RUN AWAY FROM…fools
Psalm 14:1…the fool says in his heart…there is no God…
Let’s talk about some things, people you should RUN TOWARD…
Proverbs 27:17…As iron sharpens iron, so people can improve each other…
let’s turn that list from Proverbs 6 inside out!
a proud look…humble, teachable servant
a lying tongue…honest, “truth in love”
hands that kill…merciful
a mind that thinks evil plans… a compassionate individual
feet that are quick to evil…someone who believes for the best
a witness who lies…KEEP Confidences…someone who will talk to you about someone else will soon talk to someone else about you…
and someone who starts arguments…peacemaker, forgiver
This Thanksgiving Holiday, find a way to show your thanks to all your friends and family…and if you have wise friends give extra thanks to God for providing such a blessing…
