Church in the Park

The "Church of the Valley" 4th of July weekend Annual church in the Park was so well attended this year!
I'm not a very good judge of numbers but I'd say thousands of people showed up to demonstrate the power of unity in Worship!
Presbyterians, Pentecostals, Methodists, Baptists...everybody shed their titles and came together as CHRISTIANS!
What a wonderful vision!!!

This years emphasis was discipleship and honoring lay leaders of small groups (or whatever you wanna call it: sunday school, home groups, bible studies...)
We have a small group ministry on Wednesday evenings BUT there's something special and more intimate about HOME GROUPS!
If the LORD is leading you to start a home group in our church please come and talk to me!!!

PS...I saw a birdie in the tree at the church in the park!

I love it when churches can take off there Baptist hat or Assembly of God hat and just put on their filled with Jesus hat and enjoy being in the presence of God with other believers. It brings great joy to me when this is able to happen. Great job all of you Oregon believers that took part. :)
